William Glasser, a world-famous psychiatrist, once said: 'Effective teaching may be the hardest job there is.' I tend to agree; not because of the amount of marking, but because of the skill requiried to ignite the potential buried in the minds of those they teach. The teacher's audience is as varied as the colours of the rainbow. The skill of the teacher is to keep each colour unique and glowing brightly as well as drawing them all together in a perfect bow. Let us recognise those good and great teachers out there and honour them in the way they should be honoured.
