A while back, I stepped into a greenhouse. It was warm and humid. Not that comfortable for me, but perfect for the plants that made it their habitat (as shown by the one I snapped above). I felt transported to a different world, filled with wonder and delight. What joy to be able to find myself in such a habitat once again. This time the pupils were the ones thriving, bursting with inner beauty and academic excellence. My new year 6 class are a privilege to teach. Eager to learn at every opportunity. Snapping at every morsel of knowledge. Extending their thinking. Exploring the fathoms of the world of maths. I taught a couple of year 6 students last year some A-level topics. How quickly and with such astuteness did they grasp the concepts. These young minds never seize to amaze me.
